Aquidata sponsored student gains major software prize at recent RGU Prizegiving
|
|
At Aberdeen's Robert Gordon University annual prize giving, Ali Khajeh-Hosseini
won the coveted Frances Morrison prize for Best Honours Project involving Software
Development.
Ali, who has just gained a 1st Class Hons Degree in Computing Science, has
worked with Aquidata for the past 3 years, since joining for his placement year.
The Honours Project (sponsored by Aquidata) was to design and develop a software
configuration tool for use with Aquidata's innovative SoftFlow PLC - part of the
Unite Metering Suite. Ali's configuration tool is designed to be intuitive and
operator friendly, its deployment will substantially reduce the time and costs
involved in setting SoftFlow PLC to work operationally.

Aquidata selected by Group Schneider as full Systems Integrator Partner
|
|
In recognition of the product development and market penetration achieved by
Aquidata with their SoftFlow PLC, Group Schneider will feature SoftFlow
in their Global Authorised Systems Integrator Product Catalogue.
SoftFlow is based upon Schneider’s Modicon Quantum PLC and is gaining real
momentum in the North Sea metering market by offering appreciable and
consistent benefits over traditional flow metering solutions.
Boyd Ross, Principal Consultant for Aquidata states, “This relationship with
Group Schneider allows both Aquidata and Schneider to co-operate in further
product and business development – particularly geared to overseas markets”.

QHSE Certification
|

Aquidata receives QHSE certification for its products and services covering both UK
and Middle East operations.
In a move that demonstrates Aquidata’s commitment to both quality of supply and
international operations, Aquidata has been fully certified by QA authority SGS to
ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004 & OHSAS 18001:1999 covering supply control
systems, metering systems and management information systems.
We are continually working to improve our management systems, services and
business processes, to ensure that at the very least they meet the requirements of
our customers and applicable regulatory and legislative requirements.

SoftFlow PLC goes from strength to strength
|
|
Aquidata’s innovative SoftFlow PLC, which delivers flow computer functionality for
up to 100 measurement streams in a single commercially available PLC, has been
selected by Talisman Energy for use in their Tartan A Brownfield Metering Upgrade
Project.
By selecting this solution, Talisman’s Tartan platform joins Piper A, Saltire B,
Lundin’s Heather A, Broom and Thistle production facilities, in having a
SoftFlow/ GEM XT solution delivering metering reporting functionality.

Aquidata expands its scope to include turnkey metering skid supply
|
|
Previously known as a supplier of metering supervisory, allocation systems,
data historians and MIS, Lundin Petroleum has recently awarded a contract to
Aquidata for a complete electronic metering system based on SoftFlow PLC,
GEM XT and a dual coriolis meter skid; The system, when built, is destined
for installation on Lundin’s Thistle A platform.

Aquidata opens Middle East office
|
|
Aquidata opens Middle East office in response to increasing demand from clients
like Qatar Petroleum, Qatar Vinyl and Occidental Qatar.
The new office is located within Construction Development Corporation’s prestigious
premises on Al Fardan Plaza in Doha. Barry Wareing has recently transferred from
Aquidata’s Aberdeen HQ, as Regional Manager and has now been joined April 2007) by
Firas Abdo in a Sales and Marketing role.

Aquidata awarded major EPIC project for NGL plant in Middle East
|
|
In winning this project, Qatar Petroleum has ordered a real time process
information management system from Aquidata.
The winning solution – based upon OsiSoft’s PI system, currently installed plant DCS
systems and will interface to QP’s laboratory systems, SAP ERP and HiSys process
models.
The new system will provide various applications for QP personnel including mass
balance, production and trending data, electronic operator logging, alarm analysis
and control system performance analysis.
Managing Director Rob Ferguson comments “by placing this order with Aquidata, our
client will benefit from Aquidata’s years of experience in building, delivering and
supporting complex plant reporting and historian systems; based upon industry
standard components, integrated in an innovative way and delivered with Aquidata
quality and service - these systems when delivered, add real value to the client’s
