Aquidata Excel becomes part of XL Group Holdings Ltd

As of the 18th December 2009 XL Group Holdings Ltd successfully completed negotiations with the shareholders of Aquidata Excel JV Ltd. to acquire all shares in the company not already held by XL Group. Following this acquisition, Aquidata Excel JV Ltd will become a wholly owned subsidiary of the XL Group Holdings Ltd.
As a result of this acquisition Colin Laird, Managing Director of the XL Group, has taken over as Managing Director of Aquidata Excel JV Ltd. Jim Morrison has been promoted to the role of Aquidata's General Manager. Aquidata Excel will retain the same company name and office locations, with their address and contact information also unchanged.
The acquisition of Aquidata Excel by XL Group Holdings strengthens and builds upon the already established and successful XL Group portfolio. The move enables XL Group to develop and expand their Metering, Measurement and Production Data Management capabilities worldwide and will allow Aquidata Excel to further develop their business in Europe, the Middle East, North and South America.
